The Rest of the Story
LINA LENNOX
A Personal Journey to Healthier Hair
After 15+ years working as a go-to-market and growth strategist for luxury brands, Angela Muth decided to start her own company inspired by her personal hair care journey. Growing up without the proper guidance or knowledge of how to care for her multiethnic hair, she felt compelled to create a line of essentials that reflected the needs and stories of women like her, and to make them accessible for everyone.
As Angela puts it: "Growing up I struggled with caring for my multiethnic hair and dealt with chronic damage due to years of undergoing chemical treatments. When I came to the U.S. and discovered the benefits of bonnets, I saw an opportunity to make them better for women like me, without the harmful toxins found in materials like satin and polyester. After discovering the unmatched quality of 100% organic mulberry silk, I created my own bonnet in an elegant design that stays on, looks beautiful, and feels butter soft."
The Problem She Set Out to Solve
"Many brands are using satin mixes," Angela explains. "They call it silk as a marketing term, but when it truly comes down to the fabric, most of the components are actually polyester." Polyester is not breathable, which is why satin bonnets cause sweating and irritation. It is also not hypoallergenic, and for women with fragile, textured hair already dealing with breakage, the nightly friction from a bonnet made of synthetic fabric compounds the problem.
Angela points to the broader impact she witnessed firsthand: "One lady I met years ago had cancer and due to chemo, she lost all of her hair. Silk helped her regrowth because it's a natural fabric and it's breathable and hypoallergenic, especially organic silk." That story deepened her conviction that this product was not just a convenience but a genuine contribution to hair and scalp health.
The Brand and What It Stands For
Once she discovered the unmatched benefits and beauty of organic silk, Angela hit the ground running and did not look back. The result is Lina Lennox, an elevated line of everyday hair essentials powered by 100% organic silk. Lina Lennox is a Black and woman-owned small business based in Miami, Florida.

Lina Lennox products are certified by the highest standards in the industry. These certifications are not marketing language. They are rigorous, independent standards that most silk brands do not meet, and they are what allow Lina Lennox to guarantee that what you are putting on your hair every night is exactly what they say it is.
