Introducing

World Peaces

If you believe that the things you buy should do more than just sit on a shelf, you are going to love World Peaces. Based in Columbus, Ohio, World Peaces is a fair trade social enterprise that connects customers with skilled artisans from Bolivia, Ghana, Guatemala, Lesotho, Nepal, and beyond. Every product you find here, from hand-woven baskets and soapstone carvings to silver jewelry and organic fair trade teas, was made by real people using traditional techniques passed down through generations. This is not mass production. This is craft with a story.

What makes World Peaces truly special is the direct relationship they build with the makers themselves. Every partnership is rooted in transparency, fair wages, safe working conditions, and genuine respect. When you shop here, you are not just getting a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece for your home or wardrobe. You are also supporting the livelihood of artisan communities around the world and helping sustain traditional crafts that might otherwise disappear. Shopping here feels good, because it is good.

The Rest of the Story

World Peaces

A Community Built on a Simple Belief

World Peaces is a fair trade social enterprise committed to making the world more connected through creativity and collaboration. They partner with artists and artisans from Africa to Asia to the Americas, marketing sustainable handcrafted jewelry, accessories, and home goods. Their guiding belief is both simple and powerful: we all deserve to be happy, healthy, and to increase our contributions to betterness. Peace, they say, is something we create together.

Rooted in Columbus, Reaching the World

World Peaces operates out of Columbus, Ohio, where their boutique at 15 West Dunedin Road serves as a gathering place for people who care about where their goods come from and who made them. In addition to their brick-and-mortar shop, they participate in the Clintonville Farmers Market each Saturday from late April through November, bringing fair trade goods directly into the heart of their community.

The People Behind the Products

World Peaces has built direct, ongoing partnerships with artisan groups across four continents. In Bolivia, they work with Refugio Rafael, which provides a secure and nurturing environment for families while also creating community-wide opportunities for economic and educational development. In Lesotho, they collaborate with Sobo Sehloho, the head artist behind their reclaimed metal jewelry line. Deeply committed to developing artistic skills in his community of Morija, Sobo is training others in his craft and organizing a community gallery space and workshop center.

In Ghana, World Peaces works with many artisans and has partnered with Aid to Artisans Ghana and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority. Their central partnership today is with the Aburi Craft Village, where they support the development of a gallery and website for the 150 resident artists and artisans who call it home.

Proud Members of the Fair Trade Federation

World Peaces is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation, a community of businesses committed to 360-degree fair trade. Federation members work closely with small farmers and artisans to ensure good wages, safe working conditions, environmental responsibility, and economic growth. All members are screened and verified based on nine Fair Trade Federation principles and are held to the highest standards of fair trade business practice. For World Peaces, this membership is not a badge. It is a daily commitment.
