Stage 1 Variety Pack
Pounded Kalo
Traditional Hawaiian nourishment, now in a pouch. This gentle, light-purple staple is made from pounded kalo — the root vegetable also known as taro. Better known as poi, it's easy on baby's belly and naturally rich in fiber, with more than you'll find in a potato. It also delivers iron and calcium to help build strong bones and teeth.
A note on taste: ours runs a touch more tart than the poi you might be used to. We add a small amount of lemon juice concentrate, which gives it a brighter, tangier finish — a flavor many babies take to.
We source all of our poi from Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi, a community organization restoring the loʻi kalo (taro terraces) of Heʻeia, Oʻahu. Every pouch supports their work to revive Native Hawaiian farming traditions and the lands that have nourished these islands for generations.
Banana: Sweet Retreat
These delicious fruits are full of nutrition to energize little ones and keep their hearts, nervous system, and skin healthy. We source from local farmers across Hawaiʻi — including Hawaiʻi Banana Source, home of the world's wild banana expert and some of the islands' best bananas.
At Hawaiʻi Banana Source, they grow more than 150 varieties of common and rare bananas, and even cultivate new varieties of their own. Their most popular include Apple, Namwah, Gros Michel, and Ice Cream. Many are Native Hawaiian canoe crops — like Iholena, Pōpōʻulu, and Maoli — while others hail from regions around the globe.
Mango: Non-stop Tasty
Your little one can experience the joys of mango season all year long with this perfect puree. The endless bounty of sweet, juicy, vitamin-C-rich fruit is just the thing for fueling a fast-growing baby, and keeping them on the go. Plus, mango helps keep that tummy working, eyes healthy, and immune system strong.
Okinawan Sweet Potato: Vivaciously Violet
Is this potent purple sweet potato the secret behind long lifespans on the island of Okinawa? Could be! What we know for sure is that it is filling, nutritious, and delicious. The Okinawan Sweet Potato has got all the goods to power baby’s brain and belly.
