Introducing

Poe & Co. Folk Foods

If your camping food memories mostly involve bland mush and rehydrated mystery meat, Poe & Co. Folk Foods is here to fix that. Based in Santa Barbara, California, Poe & Co. makes gourmet, plant-based camping meals, think Black Garlic Ramen Bowl, Coconut Chickpea Stew, and Quinoa Sweet Potato Skillet, all crafted by a married team of Michelin-trained chefs. Every meal comes in a custom bowl-shaped pouch, so all you need is boiling water and about 20 minutes, no dishes, no measuring cups required, and no artificial ingredients, preservatives, or stabilizers anywhere in the mix.

What makes Poe & Co. different is that these meals were built by people who genuinely cook for a living, not a food science lab optimizing for shelf life alone. Jamie and Jayson Poe refused to accept that camping food had to trade flavor for convenience, so they set out to bring restaurant-quality dining to the trail, the campsite, or even a busy weeknight at home. Whether you are headed deep into the backcountry, packing the car for a weekend getaway, or just stocking an emergency kit, Poe & Co. gives you a meal you will actually look forward to eating.

The Rest of the Story

Poe & Co. Folk Foods

Two Chefs, One Shared Love of Food and the Outdoors

Jamie and Jayson Poe, Michelin-trained chefs with a passion for outdoor adventure, found camping food stuck between uninspiring convenience and time-consuming prep. Refusing to accept bland, processed meals, and rehydrating animal chunks with water, they created Poe & Co. Folk Foods: gourmet, plant-based camping meals that deliver restaurant-quality flavors to the great outdoors.

In 2015, Jamie and Jayson met, and together, they had the vision of creating a business that blends their passions of both food and family. They currently own and operate Poe & Co., a Santa Barbara based boutique catering and meal delivery company. They have two young kids who they take camping whenever they have a chance.
